Ruby is the niece of Gold Rush, a member of the original Protectors, who perished in a fight with Dr. Infinity. Ruby's powers emerged as a young child. She was forced to control her abilities from that point on, and has gained a great understanding of what she can do since. She's currently studying geology at Stanford.
Earth Elemental. Gemma has the ability to transform her body into a giant rock elemental, with varying degrees of transformation.
Fun Fact:
Gemma is currently the youngest member of Beacon and is attending college. She was chosen over Fusion, of Sentry, to get the position at Beacon.
